So far, I have pulled out 7 curly hairs from various scalp locations.
They're not just Oh Hey, I'm Just Kinda Wavy type, but the I Am The Maker Of Spirals, The Bringer Of Doom kind.

Is it really that fucking hard to leave me alone for just 10 minutes? To let me be off by myself for even just a little bit? Fucking Christ.

Oh! I'm so glad you've decided to show up unannounced. What was that? You called twice, we didn't pick, but decided to show up anyway? Delightful surprise, really. I was planning on cleaning, but your taking over the living room is a much better idea. Can't believe I didn't think of it myself. Please, make yourself at home. Feel free to change the channel and turn off my music, I don't mind at all. After all, my house is your house and you know just how much I enjoy your company.

Note to Self: The Lion and the Wolf is by Thrice. NOT Patrick Wolf. Oy.

And you know, the thing is I'll remember this all day, but the moment I get to work and see [name], it'll be gone.

Excuse me, just for a moment...

Friend --

Help your friends Vote for Change You'd be surprised by how many people you know who aren't registered to vote.

Registration deadlines are coming up soon, and we need every single vote we can get to win this election.

Tell your friends, family, and neighbors to check out our new one-stop voter registration website.

Just forward this message.

VoteforChange.com makes it easier than ever to register. Instead of tracking down the right forms, all you need to do is answer a few basic questions and you'll be ready to vote. You can also:
  • Confirm your existing registration
  • Apply to vote absentee
  • Find your polling place

If you don't know your own registration status or you'd like to learn more, take a minute to visit the site right now.

This race is too close and too important to stay home on Election Day.

If you take the time to register and vote -- and make sure everyone you know is registered as well -- we'll be able to turn the tide of the past eight years.

It's people just like you who will transform this nation.

Thanks,

Barack

POKIN AROUND: A real person, a real death

By Steve Pokin
Tuesday, November 13, 2007 2:55 PM CST

His name was Josh Evans. He was 16 years old. And he was hot.

"Mom! Mom! Mom! Look at him!" Tina Meier recalls her daughter saying.

Josh had contacted Megan Meier through her MySpace page and wanted to be added as a friend.Yes, he's cute, Tina Meier told her daughter. "Do you know who he is?"

"No, but look at him! He's hot! Please, please, can I add him?"

Mom said yes. And for six weeks Megan and Josh - under Tina's watchful eye - became acquainted in the virtual world of MySpace.

I know, I know, I've got a lot of catching up to do and A LOT of emails and messages to return (so sorry about that, I plan to get on that soon.) I cut myself off from the net for about a month (Mid August or so) and then would just get on about once a week to check email. Don't ask me why because I'm not exactly sure. I was just...tired. Don't really know.

Stuff I'll have to post about later/Note to self/Summary/I use the '/' a lot...
- The 8/01/07 Linkin Park concert rocked my socks off...and I'm assuming [info]mellyissy's as well.
- The 9/18/07 Scorpions concert with Em and Diane.
- The 9/20/07 Muse concert with Richard and Kevin. Holy god, the concert was amazing and the pit was fucking INTENSE. Like, words cannot describe (or it just might be me that can't) how absolutely fantastic it was.
- Accounts, emails.
- The Car incident. I didn't go to jail...yay!
- My love for the new Britney Spears album and how I must now permanently hang my head in shame.
- The new house.
- Bellatrange Wolfsbane.

There's been a bit of confusion as to who is who, due to some slighty unsavory acquaintances. To cut down on any further confusion, my main links/handles/names.

Livejournal - Aintgotone was changed to this journal [info]aintgotink. Also have [info]aintgotink. - Both go to the Aintgotink@yahoo.com
MySpace - SG - Aintgotink@yahoo.com
OkCupid - Aintgotink - Aintgotink@yahoo.com
LP Underground - Aintgotone - Aintgotink@yahoo.com
YouTube - Aintgotone
The main handles that I use: Aintgotone, Aintgotink, Fantasticalknot.
Littai@yahoo.com
Aintgotink@yahoo.com - Main. The best way to get a hold of me. If you need to check an account with me, email me here.

I'll post more later. Work tonight and I've got to try to get a nap in before.

Or as I like to call it: "The-one-day-of-the-year-that-Stephanie-can-rig-up-and-set-off-an-obscenely-large-amount-of-illegal-fireworks-in-her-front-yard, all-under-the-guise-of-patriotic-pride-and-because-of-this-the-neighbours-don't-bat-an-eye-(not-even-the-cop-down-the-street)."

"SparklyBigBoomTime" for short.

I just need to find my fuse roll.

For anyone interested in backing up their LJ, there is this program: LjArchive.
If you happen to get an Error Message that tells you that you need to auto-convert your older entries, you can do that here: The 'OldEncoding' setting.
---
I have back up all of my accounts, have setup a duplicate over at Greatest Journal (just in case), have switched all Plus accounts to basic, and have cancelled all automatic renewal payments.
Purchasing from LJ again will be dependent on now they handle this issue.
---
"There were a number of profiles that expressed “interest” in activities that most of us would agree put children at risk, notably pedophilia and child rape. Both in the instructions for profiles and in otherplaces on the site we make it clear that interests listed should be evaluated within the context of “I like x”, “I’m in favor of x” or “I support x”.

is in reference to
"Short single-word phrases are best.
Rule of thumb: You should be able to put the interest in the sentence "I like ________".
When referring to nouns, use the plural form for consistency, e.g.: "I like DVDs" instead of "I like DVD".
GOOD Example: biking, snow skiing, computers, dvds, mp3s, cheese
BAD Example: I like lots of bands and watching movies and talking to friends and going to clubs. That sort of stuff goes in your bio below."
Found on your Edit Profile Page.

Which I always took as a way to frame your 'interests' in way to better find those who also had them. Putting "Recovering from and dealing with Avoidant Personality Disorder" is an extremely inefficient way to connect with/search for others as they may phrase it another way. Just listing the simple phrase 'Avoidant Personality Disorder', however, is not. Do I 'like' AvPD? No. Am I in 'favor' of AvPD? No.

[info]bookshop has a lot of posts and links over in her LJ, relating (but not limited to) how this is effecting fandom.

And as a last...

"Our decision here was not based on pure legal issues. It was based on what community we want to build and what we think is appropriate within that community and what's not."
--Barak Berkowitz, chairman and CEO, Six Apart

As many people have said...WE build this community, YOU just bought it.

Possible reasons why a strange name is now on your friends list:

  1. Government Testing

  2. Solar Flares

  3. Planetary Alignment

  4. The ebb and flow of tides

  5. Premenstrual Syndrome

  6. Rename Token used by Aintgotone

  7. Insufficient amounts of dietary fiber

I've been a bit of super lurker lately and though that might not change for a bit, I am still alive and reading all y'all.
The journal layout and entire profile page (already started) are currently being overhauled. I think I might redo my icons but I've no idea what to go with. And holy god, I've got to trim down my community list.

Also, Anonymous Test Comment. What?

  • Back again. Finally got it up and running.

  • Due to future plans, I'm changing a few things around on here and other sites. If you've plans to blackmail me in the future, I'd suggest you start saving things now.

  • Growing the hair out and trying to find out what my natural haircolor is. Haven't seen it in a few years.

  • Have changed the workout routine. Results to be posted at a later date.

  • The car is finally back up and running. It's all legal as well.

  • My grandpa passed away on the 5th.
